This 4" Anchor Cleat is for mounting on the deck of a kayak.

It is made of durable injection molded nylon. It comes with 2 stainless steel Phillips head screws and 2 Well Nuts.

Well Nuts are made of threaded brass and rubber and are designed for Kayaks without inside access. Use in situations where you cannot reach the inside of your kayak to attach a standard nut. They are strong and secure enough to use with anchor cleats. To install, drill a 3/8” hole in your desired location. Then push the Well Nut into the hole. Next, put the screw through your accessory, then into the well nut, and then tighten it down with a Phillips screwdriver. (see pic for example)
